Slingshot IEP was built by Rob Martin and Maddie Magnusson.

Rob and Maddie are both members of the neurodivergent community and parents of an autistic child. Rob is a healthcare product leader and Maddie has spent a career working with autistic students including over 50 IEP meetings as a social-emotional learning specialist across DC, Maryland, and Virginia.

We built this because we couldn't find it. The tools that existed served all differences, started after the district had already drafted the document, and weren't built by anyone who actually knew what these meetings feel like from the inside.

Slingshot IEP is autism-specific, starts with your child's strengths before surfacing any concerns, and is grounded in what autistic adults say about their own IEP experiences - not just clinical consensus.

Slingshot IEP is a product of Slingshot Labs Benefit LLC, a Maryland Benefit LLC founded in 2025 and based in Montgomery County, Maryland.
